My Journey to Healing & Intuitive Bodywork

While living in Guatemala, I found a lump in my breast. Thankfully, it wasn’t serious; but it awakened something in me: a budding relationship with vulnerability, health, and healing.

It wasn’t until breaking my ankle and enduring weeks of unrelenting pain, that I hit a low point.  physically and emotionally and psychologically. Everything shifted the day I received a therapeutic massage and, for the first time in weeks, was able to walk to the bathroom.  The simple act of healing touch ultimately changed the direction of my life.

That transformative moment led me into the field of bodywork. I spent years focusing on pain relief, studying with Upledger, Jessica Kern, and Modern Day Cupping. But it wasn’t until my Lymphatic Drainage training with Klose that everything clicked; especially assisting those navigating illness and/or emotional vulnerability. My approach is rooted in deep presence, compassion, and profound respect for each client’s unique experience.

Yolima comes from the Muisca tribe, which inhabited the central region of Colombia in pre-Columbian times. The name means 'life-giving water' a reflection of the deep reverence the Muisca held for water as a source of life and fertility. Though my closed adoption left me feeling unrooted, I’ve spent the past few years rediscovering who I am. Along the way, my spirituality become a vital guide.
